The figure below shows the elements that make up the Desktop Pro application. The Toolbars can be moved from the toolbar area to the Workspace Area. When you begin creating your workspace you can add quote sheets, charts and other objects. The Desktop Pro supports both horizontal and vertical scrolling of the workspace. Therefore, it is possible to make the workspace bigger than your viewable screen size. The scroll bars (horizontal and vertical) can be used to move up/down and left/right inside the workspace. This allows room for additional quote sheets, charts, etc.

Each workspace consumes Random-Access memory, so it is important to know how much memory the Desktop Pro has available when loading a workspace. You can see this information in the Memory Stats window. Non-Historical Recordsets are requests for data that can be accessed quickly. Historical Recordsets have time information so they are delivered in a steady data stream. These take longer to load and include items such as Charts and Studies. Plugin Cells count the number of plugins that you have installed. Free Memory indicates how much memory is available to the computer beyond the Desktop Pro and all other running programs.
